Columbus County Landfill Gas Utilization

Kipling Godwin & Associates, Inc. has contracted with the Appalachian State University Energy Center to provide project management services for the Columbus County Landfill Gas Utilization Project through the CommunityTIES (Trash Into Energy Savings) Project.  The 12-month contract is funded through grants from the Golden LEAF Foundation and the Z. Kipling Godwin & Associates is providing the following scope of services for the project:
· Identify and network with potential project partners and other stake-holders.
· Serve as the principal liaison with and coordinate the activities of the Columbus County Landfill Gas Task Force and the ASU Energy Center with the County Public Utilities Director, County Manager, Board of County Commissioners, County Attorney, County Finance Officer, Southeastern Community College, and other local officials.
· Develop a plan for project development and associated economic and community development.
· Develop a strategy for grant-writing and fundraising.
· Recruit contractors and consultants for project development, sale of carbon credits, and/or other green attributes.
· Prepare, distribute, and review necessary Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).
· Serve as the public face of and ambassador for the project.
· Prepare monthly written activity reports.
